Hello! I just discovered this Substack and I am looking forward to learning the system!
You mentioned you prefer to stay away from cards tied to specific entities (e.g. airlines) but I notice that you listed the Chase United Explorer card as one of the cards you currently have. As a regular United flyer, can I ask you why you chose to carry this card?

Hey. The goal is to first build a strong base of cards that you will profit off of each year.
Chase Biz cards (particularly CIC) are best to get initially while you are still under 5/24.
If you live in a United hub, travel frequently, and want a free checked bag, feel free to get that United card later (while still under 5/24)
But with high earning cards like CIC, you’ll earn more points which you can just transfer to Hyatt or United.
